Kris grew up in northern Virginia and fell in love with horses “before I was old enough to sit on one.” She started riding at age seven and was competing soon thereafter, including a stint on the University of Kentucky Equestrian Team while enrolled at UK. Kris came back home to attend George Mason University, but was really going to the school of training and horse management, working for Barbara Graham at Middleburg Training Center, then for trainers Neil Morris and Doug Fout, working with steeplechasers and flat racers running off their respective farms in northern Virginia and traveling to tracks all over the East Coast. Kris came to the Stallion Station at the beginning of 2006, and handles stallion contracts, among other things.
